How to measure - Woven Wood Blinds

Important Consideration Prior to Measuring

• For accurate measurements please use a metal tape measure and take measurements in millimetres. Always specify width first then the drop.

• Allow for any protrusions that may effect the fitting or appearance of your blind i.e.. catches, tiles, window sills etc. Make a note of these protrusions when placing your order as this may effect the size the blind is to be manufactured to.

Decide whether you want the blinds to hang inside or outside the window recess.

Inside the Recess

Inside mounts hang inside the window and provide a flush look.
• Measure the width of the window recess (including the frame) from edge to edge in 3 places. Take the smallest measurement.
• Measure the drop by taking the measurement from the top of the window recess (including frame) to the sill in 3 places. (A, B, C. see below drawing)
• Take the longest measurement for roller blinds and smallest measurement for other blinds.

• Choose whether you want to face fix, top fix or side fix your blind.

• When placing your order please refer to these measurements as RECESS sizes.
We will then make the necessary allowances for the brackets to ensure your blinds fit perfectly.

Outside the Recess

Outside mounts hang outside the opening to make a window appear wider and longer or to hide an unattractive window. (A, B, see below drawing)

• Measure the exact width you would like to cover ensuring you measure equal distances from the edge of the window opening. It is recommended you add 75mm each side of the opening to ensure ample blind coverage.
• Measure the exact drop you would like the cover. If there is no window sill add an additional 75mm also onto the drop.
• When placing your order please refer to these measurements as BLIND sizes.
